Theme: Our Earth/Landforms/Caves
Show and Tell – Show and Tell: Bring a picture or an object that represents a cave or a different landform in the world. Be able to tell the class about it.
Skills: 
Reading-The Five Big Ideas:
Phonics: spelling chunk op
Fluency:  Reader’s Theatre
Comprehension: summarize, identify main idea & details
Vocabulary : words and definitions
Phonemic Awareness:  beginning, middle, ending sounds & changing sounds in a word

Math:
Number Sense:  less than, greater than
Algebra:  finding an unknown variable
Geometry:  coordinates
Probability/Statistics:  Graphing- converting a bar graph into a line graph  
Measurement:  Telling and writing time  

Please send a shoebox to school with your child by Tuesday, Oct. 6 for a special project.

All sold and unsold raffle tickets are due on Tuesday, Oct. 6.  Let’s get those tickets sold!!

We will be doing a special math project with pumpkins on Monday, October 26.  If you can donate a pumpkin or volunteer to help please let me know.  I need 2-3 volunteers and 6 pumpkins. Thank you so much!

Sickness is hitting our school.  To help eliminate germs, we use hand sanitizer often.  If you would like to donate a medium to large bottle of hand sanitizer, it would be appreciated.
